(DAY 01) Yangon Arrival (sightseeing depend on the arrival time)

Yangon (Rangoon) is a relatively charming city. Its impressive colonial and spiritual heritage makes it one of the most fascinating cities in Southeast Asia.

Sightseeing starts with City Orientation tour, Yangon downtown area, Sule Pagoda (the landmark of Yangon City) and from there we walk along the Pansodan Street which has many large Colonial buildings (British colonial heritage) which are still in use. And then we continue beautiful sightseeing to explore the city center and its fabulous mix of architecture and sites. The streets are filled with historical buildings many of which have a faded colonial charm not seen elsewhere in Asia. You’ll walk at the General Post Office- a lovely historic building– and passing by Strand Hotel, Mahabandoola Garden and Independence Monument along the way.

Afternoon, visit starts with Bogoke Aung San Market (Scott Market), where there is a wide range of Myanmar souvenirs are available to buy trendy clothes and accessories, gold, gems and jewellary. This is time to browse through the dozens of stalls and shops. This is also Yangon’s best market for handicrafts and other goods.

Evening enjoy a leisurely walk around Kandawgyi Lake.

Welcome dinner at Karaweik Palace (Kandawgyi) with traditional show.

(Day 02) Yangon (Full Day Sightseeing)

After breakfast, morning visit starts with Shwedagon Pagoda the most revered Buddhist temple in Myanmar. Although the origins of the pagoda are unclear, the local legend states that the original structure was built 2500 years ago then renovated several times until taking its current shape in the 15th century. The 8-sided central stupa is 99 meters tall and gilded with gold leaf and is surrounded by 64 smaller stupas and your guide will show you around the massive complex, explaining why this temple is so revered. Enjoy breathtaking views of the golden stupa from this vantage point.

Then, visit to Maharsi International Mediation Centre to look how people doing, working and sitting meditation. If you lucky and interested in it, you may meet a teacher for short guided mediation.

Visit continue to Chaukhtatgyi Pagoda Image (Six-Storied Pagoda) (a huge reclining Buddha), 70 meter long and one of Myanmar’s largest and you can also get your fortune told by the fortune tellers who have shops nearby.

We suggest light lunch is good at lucky 7 tea shop.

After lunch, explore to Little India and Chinatown, a colorful cacophony of restaurants, temples and markets.

Strolling around Sinthodan Jetty to observe the river life of Yangon and enjoy the old town sunset.

Overnight at Yangon.

(Day 03) Yangon – (Inle Lake) Heho Airport

Departure from Yangon Domestic Airport with morning Flight to Heho (Inle Lake).

From Heho, a scenic one-hour drive leads to Nyaung Shwe, the gateway village to Inle Lake. Along the way, stop at the wooden Shwe Yan Pyay Monastery which features beautiful carvings and a collection of Buddha images.

Check in hotel.

Afternoon sightseeing starts with a private motorboat to head out to Inle Lake, one of Myanmar’s most spectacular sights. Pass villages built on stilts over the lake, inhabited by the local Intha people. Observe the leg-rowing fishermen and see their floating gardens built up from strips of water hyacinth and mud and anchored to the bottom with bamboo poles.

Overnight at Inle (Nyaung Shwe).

(DAY 04) Indein – Inle Lake sightseeing

After breakfast at hotel, full day excursion on Inle Lake (25 km) famous for its unique one-leg rowers, typical floating gardens, local methods of fishing and village life. Visit one of the Nyaug Shwe 5-day rotating markets with its Intha and Pao tribes.

And then visit Inn Dein Pagoda complex (12th -13th centuries) in ruins covered by trees and bushes.

We suggest lunch stop at Lucky 7 Restaurant.

We make our way to Phaung Daw Oo Pagoda, the lake’s main sanctuary, which contains 5 sacred Buddha images and the royal barges used during the pagoda’s annual festival.

For a lope walk, visit to Nanoo Lalshae Village to see daily life of the local people and cottage industries such as making Buddha image with dried flowers from the main pagoda and etc.

Continue visit to one of the oldest monasteries in the Lake Tarlaytaung Kyaung to see monastery life and Buddhist lecture books written on palm leaves.

Proceed to the village of Inpawkhone to observe the traditional silk weaving techniques of Inthar people. Inpawkhone is also known for its weaving from the stems of lotus flowers, a time consuming process that results in high quality materials famous throughout the country. We also visit a cheroot factory where local Burmese cigars are rolled by hand.

If time permits, enjoy a short walk through one of the lakeside villages.

Overnight at Inle (Nyaung Shwe).

(DAY 05) Yangon – Kyaikhtiyo

Enjoy early breakfast at the hotel. Departure to Yangon is with morning flight.

On arrival, drive to Kyaikhtiyo in the Mon state, site of the famous Golden Rock. Guide from Yangon will come along all the way to Golden Rock and back.

Afternoon, we will arrive the based camp of Kyaikhtiyo and check in Hotel.

Then we go by truck to the top of the trail with local people. Golden Rock is a large boulder, which appears delicately balanced, supposedly by the assistance of a well-placed hair of the Buddha, on the edge of a cliff near the top of a mountain. It is one of the most revered Buddhist shrines.

Enjoy Golden Rock sightseeing which includes spectacular mountain views and pilgrims at the Golden Rock.

Before the last truck leaving, come back to base camp. Properly you can stroll around local villages around hotel.

Overnight at Kyaikhtiyo.

(DAY 06) Kyaikhtiyo – Bago – Yangon

Enjoy breakfast at the hotel and driving back to Yangon.

On the way to Kyaikhtiyo, we can visit interesting monasteries and pagodas in Bago such as Shwemawdaw, Shwethalyang, Khakhatwine Monasteryand Kanbawzathadi Palace.

Arrival time will be in evening.

Overnight at Yangon.

(DAY 07) Yangon International Airport Departure

After breakfast, our guide will send you to the international airport.
